Place the mouse cursor over the effect and click x to remove the effect. BIAS FX BIAS Amp BIAS Pedal Distortion BIAS Pedal Delay JamUp effects plugin. Double-click on the desired effect or drag the guitar effect to anywhere on the signal path to add. Or, rather than adding it to the track as a new plugin, you can also just change one of the exiting track plugins that you don't need to BIASFX. You can click Add in the middle of the window to open the effects menu. Click on this shadowy entry, and then scroll down to the bottom to "Audio Units", and under "Audio Units", there should be a PositiveGrid submenu, among any other plugins you have. To add BIASFX to the track as a new plugin, you need to hover the pointer over an empty space in this box to get a potential "shadowy" new entry with up/down arrows on the far right. If you are using BIASFX, then you probably want to remove the existing plugins in this list that Apple already put into the track by default (click on each one and set to "No Plug-in"), since they are likely redundant to BIASFX. It isn't exactly intuitive, but inside the "Plug-Ins" section of "Smart Controls", there is a smaller square box containing a list of current plugins. Note that GB uses the AU version of the plugin, not VST, although the same BIASFX install will install both AU and VST versions of the plugin, as per above. There is a "Plug-Ins" section in the "Smart Controls" (you can Show/Hide the "Smart Controls" under the "View" menu). Regarding GarageBand, it should already see the plugins, assuming you start GB after installing the plugins. User-level install or manual copy: /Users//Library/Audio/Plug-Ins System-level install by install program: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins Keep in mind that the BIASFX installer will install both AU and VST versions of the plugin under the system-level path below (AU plugin under the "Components" subfolder, and VST plugin under the "VST" subfolder): In general these are the two places that plug-ins go, depending on how they are installed.
